Colbert Signs Off

Some excellent, long-running shows have had lackluster endings. For instance, the final episode of Seinfeld still sticks in my craw a bit, but that's just me.

The Colbert Report doesn't fall into that category, however. Stephen Colbert slammed the door on nine great years of the Colbert Report last night in fine form, recruiting the likes of Henry Kissinger and Cookie Monster to bid the show adieux with a rousing rendition of "We'll Meet Again":
