Bill Murray burst onto the scene in 1976 as an "obnoxious guy who can appear charming" and steadily rose to national treasure level as one of the funniest dudes to ever walk the third rock from the sun.

In this October 1988 interview, Murray discusses his perception of himself and fame, in general, which, apparently, involves boisterous fan acknowledgments of his starring turn in Meatballs, avoiding speeding tickets, and getting to talk to girls, which is nice.
